The purpose of the Islander Sports Foundation is to ensure that no Coronado student will ever be denied the chance to participate in a sport because of financial need.

About Islander Sports Foundation

The mission of Islander Sports Foundation (ISF) is to sustain and fund all Coronado School sports programs. ISF founded as a booster club 20 years ago, originally as Coronado High School All Sports Booster Club. The Foundation began and strives today because of Coronado families, businesses, and community support.

There are over 40 High School and Middle School youth sports programs, and like most athletic programs in the state of California, school district athletic budgets have been drastically cut in recent years – Coronado’s annual sports budget is only $13k! Additionally, as with many San Diego-area middle schools, the school district does not allocate ANY funds for extracurricular middle school sports.

The Islander Sports Foundation covers 75% of all actual expenses covering new uniforms, referees and coaches, and tournament fees.

The Islander Sports Foundation (ISF) is the official charity of The Crown City Classic. The Crown City Classic Charity Program is designed to support the Islander Sports Foundation’s initiatives and fundraising efforts. ISF is a Coronado based 501 [c] [3] Charity.

BECOME A FUNDRAISER

Support the Islanders by creating your individual fundraiser and participating in the race at no cost!

• Sign up for the race by choosing Charity 5K/12K Run ticket.
• Commit to raising the $200 fundraising minimum, and the registration fee will be waived.
     1. If you do not reach $200 in donations by July 4th, you will be prompted to agree to pay the difference BEFORE the race.

• Join Islander Sports Foundation Fundraising Team, if applicable.
  1. This will ensure your raised funds will go into your team’s basket.
  2. If you don’t choose your team, all Individual fundraisers will benefit ISF general.
