7:10am – 5K Race Begins
8:30am – Awards Ceremony

10:00am – Coronado Independence Day Parade Begins

This flat and fast course runs along picturesque Glorietta Blvd and will extend south past the Navy Amphibious Base along the bike path and turn around approximately 1/4 mile past the Silver Strand Nature’s Bridge to Discovery. Rather take it easy or walk on 4th of July? Participate in the 5K (3.1 miles).

Notes for Packet Pick-Up
Walk-up Registration available at Packet Pick-Up if the event is not sold out. Photo IDs are required. You may pick up for a friend if you have a copy of their photo ID. NO EXCEPTIONS! Please plan on attending one of the pre-race packet pick-ups; out of towners may pick up on race morning beginning at 5:30am but it is discouraged.
We strongly recommend carpooling as the Island will be congested with 4th of July visitors. Parking is free on surface streets and available on a first come first served basis. We will release a detailed Parking Plan prior to the event date. Detailed Parking instructions will be emailed to all participants prior to July 4th.

Every Finisher gets a Medal!
Award Divisions are Top 3 overall in the 5K and 12K race and top 3 in each USATF recommended age group (14 and Under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, & 90+). Overall winners will be excluded from age group awards.
